On more than one occasion in these 18 years of marriage, I have prayed: “Lord, help my wife to see.” Only to realize that I’m the one who needs to see.

God is using people to help us see ourselves. Shift your focus. Say to the Lord the words of the old song: “It’s Me, It’s Me, It’s Me Oh Lord, Standing in the Need of Prayer.”

Let God transform you and you will see people differently. More importantly, you will see yourself differently. You will move from the position of a consumer to a producer. There, you will find what you are looking for.

Lord give me eyes to see.
