“And he [Jairus] fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house.” – Luke 8:41
The multitude is crowding Jesus. They all want to see Him and hear Him. They all want something from Him. Such was true of a man named Jarius, whose twelve year-old daughter was extremely ill. What is the difference between Jarius and the great multitude?
He asked.
It is amazing that one of the major tipping points in our walk with Jesus is a simple request. Asking God in faith, according to His will, is the thing that can distinguish you today in the eyes of God and bring to your life what God has for you. The Bible instructs us:
• Ask, and it shall be given you. [Matthew 7:7]
• If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God. [James 1:5]
• Let your requests be made known unto God. [Philippians 4:6]
God is listening. He hears the cry of His people. The one question before you today is: What one thing would you dare to ask if you knew God would grant it?

I would ask God for the ability to speak a thing and to see if manifest without fail… not in a “presto” or “tadaaa” kinda way though… in the kinda way that gives you comfort and ease that it will happen after you’ve gone the process of going through process. So for instance, I can speak that I’ll led 6,000 people to Christ this year and work toward that with assurance that, without fail, my words will manifest. In a “faith-in-action kind of way, it seems as though we already have this but if I’m honest, I’ve spoken words and have had words spoken that have never manifested despite lots of speaking in tongues, calling on God, fasting, working toward my goal, and even despite having great faith. Fortunate for me God’s ways are higher than my ways and his thoughts higher than my thoughts so my comfort and assurance is that God knows best. That notwithstanding, it would be kool and so EAsier to speak a thing, believe a thing, work toward a thing, and ALWAYS see the thing manifest…Not part of the plan but oh how I wish it were…
